Reminder: School taxes are due by Wednesday, September 30, 2026
School Tax payments/checks should be made payable to Tax Collector CUFSD. Personal checks are accepted to be mailed prior to November 1
Tax payments to be mailed should be sent to: Tax Collector, PO Box 1957, Albany, NY 12201-1957

School tax bills are mailed to taxpayers at the end of August every year.

Tax Payment Schedule - 2026
Tax Payments prior to October 31, 2026
Payments being mailed through the School District's Albany lockbox:

No penalty is charged if payment is postmarked on or before September 30

2 % penalty – Payments postmarked between October 1- October 31

The school district cannot accept payments after October 31
Tax Payments – November 1-16
Payments made at the Orange County Commissioner of Finance:

Contact the Commissioner of Finance in Goshen, NY at (845) 291-2480 for payment information.

2% penalty - Payments at Orange County Commissioner of Finance until 5:00pm on November 16

The Orange County Commissioner of Finance will not accept payment after November 16.
Payments after November 16
After November 16 unpaid school taxes are re-levied onto the taxpayer’s January Town & County tax bill along with a 7% penalty. Please contact your local Town Assessor for further information regarding delinquent taxes.
Failure to receive a tax bill does not relieve you of your responsibility for payment.
It also will not constitute cause for cancellation of any penalty if the bill becomes delinquent. (New York State Real Property Tax Law 922). If you do not receive a tax bill, please contact the tax collector at the number above to obtain a copy of your tax bill.
