Meet The School Resource Officer (SRO)

My name is Rick Perez and I am the SRO assigned to the Chester school district. I look forward to working with the children and the staff of the Chester school district.

Being a father of two teenage boys myself, I have a pretty good understanding of the pressures that our children face every day. Hearing all the bad news in the media today many parents are concerned with their children’s safety. We are hoping to quell your fears by knowing that there is now a police officer presence in Chester schools.

I have over 20 years of law enforcement experience, including military service and my current position serving with the town of Chester Police Department. I grew up locally and graduated from Middletown High School.

I am so excited about serving our community in this role that I have been blessed with and I hope is a community we can work together for a better future for all of our children.
