I'm looking forward to a great year! Please check your child's homework folder daily. All communication should be put in the folder. I check them each morning. It's extremely important that everything is labeled. Any money sent to school should be placed in a labeled envelope or ziploc bag with your child's name on it. Jackets & sweaters, sweatshirts also seem to end up in the lost & found too.
Your child may keep a water bottle with a flip top on his /her desk. Water bottles with just a cap tend to spill and ruin our precious work. We have snack every afternoon. A healthy snack should be put in a separate bag if possible for snack time at the end of the day. Please send in a note or send an e-mail to let me know if you'd like to send in a special snack for your child's birthday.
Homework should be completed daily. Should your child have difficulty completing any assignment, feel free to write me a note.
Reading daily is key to helping your child become a strong, confident reader. Even if he or she can't read the words, you can have him/her tell the story with pictures.
I'm looking forward to meeting everyone at Open House.
Parent volunteers are needed to help in the morning and afternoons. Please let me know if you're available.
