Starting Monday, February 2, all trees four-inch caliper and larger will be felled and left in place until the site design is approved by the New York State Education Department and other required regulatory authorities. Trees may not be removed until those approvals are in place. The work follows the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation tree-felling window, which requires felling before March 31 to meet environmental protections. Regulatory approvals are expected later this fall (August/September).

• Monday, February 2, 2026: Anticipated start of work
