Orange County Department of Health Listening Session

Every 3 years, in accordance with the NYS Health Prevention Agenda, the Orange County Health Department engages in various activities to create a Community Health Assessment for Orange County. The overarching goal is to describe the community’s needs and develop a plan to improve the health for all Orange County residents with an emphasis on addressing health disparities.

To assist in obtaining necessary community input, and to “re-introduce” the community to the various programs and services offered by the health department, we will be hosting 23 regional Listening Sessions throughout the county over the next several months.

May 18: Town of Chester Town Hall, 1786 Kings Highway, 6:00-8:00 pm (to include Village of Chester).

Listening Sessions will be approximately one-two hours, with a brief introduction & power point presentation by health department staff followed by community-led discussion. In order to facilitate the discussion, OCDOH staff will assist residents in completing a 2-minute survey either via paper or laptop.
