At last night’s Chester Board of Education meeting the Board accepted the letter from Mrs. Walsh indicating her intention to retire, effective June 30, 2019. The Board thanked Mrs. Walsh for her many years of dedicated service and leadership at the Chester Elementary School.
Mrs. Walsh has been the Chester Elementary School Principal for the past twelve years. Over this time, she has established programs that enhanced student learning while maintaining a positive and safe school climate. These programs include; working with the PTA to develop the after school club program, developing the before and summer school Compos Learning lab, implementing the school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) program and led the STEM/Project Based Learning initiative including robotics at the elementary level.
Thank you for all you have done for the children of Chester.
