Special Statement from the Chester Board of Education
Below please find a statement from Chester Board of Education President Frank Sambets from the August 28th School Board meeting regarding the resignation of Chester School Board Member Brian Horan:
On behalf of the Board of Education, it is with deep regret that I announce the immediate resignation of Brian Horan from the Chester School Board.
Due to changing circumstances with his professional career, Brian will be unable to fulfill the remainder of his term on the Board of Education. For the past six years, Brian has been an integral part of the positive success of the district. His attention to detail and his ability to work with board members, administrators and parents is an example for all future members.
At this time the Board is working with our school attorneys to decide the best course of action so we can fill the open seat as soon as possible.
We thank Brian for his dedication to the students of Chester and thank his wife, Colleen, and his children for allowing us all to be able to share him over the past years. He will be missed.
