2020 Budget / Board Member Vote Preparations Underway
Under Governor Cuomo’s Coronavirus Executive Order all school votes this spring are to be conducted via absentee ballots and mail. Today, Chester Schools essential workers began the large and unprecedented task of preparing ballot mailings for approximately 4,500 Chester School District voters. By 1 pm our essential worker team completed assembly of over 3,000 ballot mailers. Thank you Chester essential workers!
REGULATIONS REQUIRING POSTING OF THE CHILD ABUSE HOTLINE TELEPHONE NUMBER AND DIRECTIONS TO ACCESSING THE NEW YORK STATE OFFICE OF CHILDREN AND FAMILY SERVICES WEBSITE. School districts and charter schools are now required to post in English and Spanish the toll-free telephone number (1-800-342-3720) operated by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) to receive reports of child abuse or neglect, and directions for accessing the OCFS website http://ocfs.ny.gov/main/cps/.
